Pookolam
Happy Onam to all!

Pookolam is a floral carpet which is drawn for Onam Festival. It's an arrangement of flowers like a design/ rangoli/ kolam. Pookolam is drawn for 10 days till Onam Festival. 
Onapookolam is also called as Athapookolam.

AadiPeruku means 18th day of Aadi Maasum. This is to celebrate the water rising levels of all major  rivers, lakes and water sources of Tamilnadu to onset the monsoon.

Rangoli / Wet Rice Flour Kolam

Good morning!
Happy Guru Purnima!
I'm happy to share this wet rice flour kolam / rangoli for Guru Purnima. For wet rice flour kolam we need to soak raw rice for 2 hrs. Grind to a smooth paste by adding little water. Add some more water to get a nice flowing consistency. With a small cotton dip in wet rice flour and squeeze slightly and start drawing your Rangoli.
