Freehand Maa Kolam - Karthikai Deepam Special!
Today I am sharing a maa kolam or wet rice flour kolam, which can be drawn in a small place or chinna vasal. A freehand rangoli in vasal padi.
This Karthikai Masam starts from (Nov mid - Dec mid). In South India this is one of the auspicious month.... during evening we light diyas in front of our house to welcome Goddess Lakshmi ( Goddess of wealth and prosperity).
In Tamil Nadu we celebrate Karthikai Deepam as Tiruvannamalai Deepam and Sarvalaya Deepam.
We draw Maa Kolam and use kaavi. We can draw padi kolam or freehand rangoli and decorate diyas in rangoli.
