Dotted kolam (Vasant Panchami)

Happy Vasant Panchami to all! Our prayers to Mata Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. VasantPanchami is the beginning of Spring season (the first day of spring season). It is a custom / tradition to wear, ear, decorate your surroundings with yellow colour. A simple line kolam with 23-1 dots. I've slightly changed the dot pattern, due to space constraint.

This Rangoli is drawn with yellow shades of colours for Vasanth Panchami.

'Vasanth Panchami' is one of the festival of Hindus. It is believed that Goddess Saraswati the diety of Wisdom, Knowledge, Art and Science was born. Yellow is Goddess Saraswati's favourite colour. In most parts of India people wear yellow clothes, prepare yellow dishes and perform special puja to Goddess Saraswati. This day is also considered as the beginning of Spring Season.
