Deepawali is one of the important festivals celebrated by Hindus. We draw Rangoli / Kolam with colour powder to welcome Goddess Lakshmi (Lord of wealth and prosperity).
Padi Kolam is a freehand design which can be expanded with curves, floral or lotus motifs, stripes, checks etc.
This is a simple Padi Kolam with a toch of kaavi or kempu powder. Kaavi powder is mixed with water and used to draw borders in any type of kolam or Rangoli. This kaavi is must for Padi Kolam
Pookolam is a floral carpet which is drawn for Onam Festival. It's an arrangement of flowers like a design/ rangoli/ kolam. Pookolam is drawn for 10 days till Onam Festival.
Onapookolam is also called as Athapookolam.
Today I'm sharing a pookolam with flowers. Hope you like this design.
