A simple and easy kolam for Marghazi. This kolam can also be called as 'Biscuit Kolam' as this looks more like a biscuit.

When there is a shortage in Rangoli powder / One colour you have...in such a situation... you can use the colours in border line.

Rathasapthami Kolam

Rathasapthami Kolam

Namaste!
Today it's Rathasapthami and I am happy to share my pulli or dots kolam with some bright colours. 

Rathasapthami is one of the important festival celebrated by Hindus. Specially in South India we take bath early in the morning before Sun rises....we need to take bath with Erukum Elai or leaves...seven leaves with turmeric for women and Erukum leaves with raw rice for men. In this day Lord Suryanarayana or Sun God on his chariot with seven horses turns the direction from Southeast to Northeast.
We draw kolams, rangoli or even wet rice flour rangoli and pray to Sun God for well being and good health.
