Freehand kolam / Round kolam

Happy Sharad Purnima to all. It is believed that on this day Chandra dev / moon comes with 16 kalas, and also it is believed Amrit comes from Chandra dev. The rays which falls is considered to be Amrit. In North India Rice kheer / rice pudding is prepared with rice, cow's milk, sugar. Keep the kheer covered with a strainer in the open terrace / balcony. Let the rays of moon fall on this kheer, it is offered to Chandra dev, then it is consumed as Amrit.
In South India on this day Anna Abhishekam is performed to Lord Siva. The Sharad Purnima is considered very auspicious in Hinduism.
